Parc Canberra, an executive condominium (EC) in Sembawang located just beside the brand new Canberra MRT, saw a take-up rate of 60% during its weekend launch (15 February 2020). The 496-unit condo sold 316 of its apartments at an average price of $1,085 psf.

The ongoing Covid-19 outbreak did little to deter buyers as a total of 316 units were sold within the span of seven and a half hours, from 9am to 4.30pm. On 14 February 2020, a day before the weekend launch, a live online balloting exercise was conducted on Parc Canberra’s Facebook page.

As applicants had to come down in person to drop off their ballot ticket and book their preferred unit upon being successful, precautionary measures were stringent at the showroom. Applicants were required to have their temperature checked, hands sanitised as well as provide their particulars and travel history.
