Ohmyhome’s New Version Makes HDB Transactions Faster and Simpler


SINGAPORE, 6 June 2017 | Home-grown real estate platform and CEA licensed real estate agency Ohmyhome has officially revealed a major update of their mobile application. On the updated platform where HDB flat owners and searchers are connected directly to each other for free, users will find new features that make it even easier for them to buy, sell or rent HDB flats. The updated application brings Ohmyhome a step closer to its vision of becoming an application for all housing matters.

Ms Rhonda Wong, co-founder and CEO of Ohmyhome said, “This is the very first major facelift since our official launch and it is a culmination of months of hard work. We have managed to further refine our platform based on consolidated user feedback. By adding ‘Journey’ and chat features to the app, our fellow Singaporeans will now find HDB transactions a lot simpler. This is also another step towards building an integrated Ohmyhome platform that is a one-stop shop for all housing-related matters. Everyone wants to live in their ideal homes, and we are motivated to play a role to fulfil those dreams.”

New feature: Journey – a step-by-step guide

One of the key features added is “Journey”. The “Journey” tab provides users with a detailed yet easily understandable, professional guide on the entire transaction process. Depending on whether the user is a buyer, seller, landlord or tenant, the journey is tailored for each type of transaction.

Each step of the process is listed, with bite-size summaries, helpful tips and essential HDB resources provided, to ensure users have a smooth transaction process without overlooking any crucial steps. With “Journey”, users can immediately see the next steps and begin preparing for it. User’s progress is displayed on the app as they complete each step, knowing exactly how much has been accomplished and what’s left to be done.

New feature: In-app chat function

The new in-app chat function allows users to make an offer and schedule appointments, making it easier for various parties to interact with one another quickly and effectively without leaving the safe environment of Ohmyhome. They can have multiple chat conversations with potential buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants, and even Ohmyhome’s help team.

Regional Expansion

Apart from breaking ground on “Journey”, the updated platform will cross into regional markets as the rental portion of the app will be available in Indonesia, The Philippines, and Malaysia later in the year. This means that those looking to move to Singapore and looking for a place to stay, can kick start their move with the application. Home owners looking to lease out their apartment or room can now directly reach out to overseas tenants and secure the rental.

Newer. Better. Simpler.

Along with the new features, the Ohmyhome application has refreshed its look. The user interface has been fine-tuned for a hassle-free experience, and the previous colour combination of orange and blue now takes on a vibrant orange colour.

The new Ohmyhome app is now available via all app stores. Existing iOS users can download the latest update while Android users will have to download the latest version via Google Play.
