Developers MCL Land and Yanlord Land Group have outdone themselves with Leedon Green. We try to be objective and balanced in these reviews, but there isn’t really much to fault with this development. Leedon Green residents get the best of both worlds: greenery-laced architecture offering proximity to nature, and all the comforts of a modern home.

Tucked in the corner of Farrer Road and Holland Road, Leedon Green is situated in a highly accessible, strategic location with a wide selection of transport options. Swathes of trees shield the compound from an otherwise noisy road.

If you are looking for a home that:

  • facilitates both budget and luxury lifestyles
  • lets you feel close to nature
  • provides plenty of breathing space

then consider purchasing a piece of sanctuary at Leedon Green.

7 reasons to invest in Leedon Green

Leedon Green clocks an impressive score of 8.6 / 10. For those with the budget, Leedon Green promises to be both spacious and luxurious.

Quality of Fittings: 8/10ID treatment formed the majority of the show’s fittings, so don’t expect the chic interior presented in the pictures unless you’re planning to buy furniture yourself. That said, special features like the pseudo walk-in wardrobe, wine cellar, and kitchen entertainment system still give Quality of Fittings a high score of 8.
Condo Facilities: 8/10Every day is a nature getaway at Leedon Green. Greenery is there everywhere you turn: at the therapy pools, pavilions, and even tennis courts. That said, thrill seekers might find the range of activities a little dull.
Unit Layout: 9/10Some bedrooms have balcony access, while others are tucked in a corner, providing plenty of options depending on how much you value privacy. Long balcony walkways and spacious kitchen counters mean that there’s always enough space for larger households and parties.
Accessibility: 9.5/10At just two stops away from Farrer Road MRT, you’re never too far off from any of Singapore’s four districts. A few points have to be knocked off for the congestion-prone roads, however. Even so, you can’t beat quick access to 5 different MRT lines.
Supermarket/Dining Options: 9/10Leedon Green scores an impressive 9 for its proximity to the famous Empress Market. Apart from cheap local delights, there are also numerous cafes and grocery options sprawled around the neighbourhood.
Healthy Living: 9/10Residents can enjoy fresh air produced by the abundance of greenery every day. The nearby botanic gardens also offers several jogging routes.
Price/Value for Money: 7.5/10Prices vary greatly depending on the size of the unit. Singles and small families definitely get a bang for their buck with high accessibility and comprehensive amenities. Larger units also arguably justify their price with exclusive amenities.

Wake up to a home in nature

For once, readers can actually believe developers when they talk about ‘listening to the soft dulcet whispers of nature’. If the model figures are anything to go by, tree branches will be brushing against the sides of elevated porches and tendrils will be cloaking tennis court perimeters in verdant green.

True to its namesake, Leedon Green facilities have no shortage of facilities surrounding them.
Strategically placed skywalk allows observers to view tennis from a high vantage point.

One doesn’t even have to leave the house to enjoy the viridescent scenery. Wide walkways and bedroom balconies mean that you’ll get to wake up to the melody of birds (or cawing of crows) as the morning sun slowly pours in.

Inhabitants can return home to the view of a lively balcony, which helps make an otherwise narrow area feel more breathable.
Wide walkways allow for enjoyment of greenery even at home.
Bathtubs situated below blinded windows for relaxing bubble baths in the treetops.

Enjoy luxury within the lap of nature

Despite its emphasis on nature, Leedon Green does not cut corners when it comes to extravagance. Bathroom interiors come with a variety of bold textures, including clear marble counters, anti-slip flooring, and patterned walls. These textures come together to create an environment that exudes class and modernity.

Bathroom walls and surfaces provide a sensory and visual experience that is as calming as it is stimulating.

The bathrooms pack as in style as in functionality. Double sinks and mirrors mean that both you and your spouse can bolt out the door in half the time to beat the morning traffic. Morning prep times are further shortened by wardrobes outside the bathroom that you can literally step into.

Double sinks and mirrors afford personal space while simultaneously transforming morning routines into bonding sessions.
Grab your suit right out of the shower with the spacious wardrobe.

Space to live, breathe, and grow

Sufficient space has been dedicated to each section of the unit. Workspaces in the smaller units are carefully separated from bedrooms so that remote workers can compartmentalise work and rest.

Living rooms are spacious enough to host larger gatherings while master bedrooms of larger units also have a dedicated study area for busy professionals to get some work done in the evenings.

Separation of the resting and workspace helps maintain work-life balance for remote workers.
A spacious living area complete with a smart powered entertainment system.
Well ventilated middle bedrooms perfect for getting fresh air on a lazy Saturday afternoon.
The study is connected right to the master bedroom, setting the perfect ambience for nightly reflections.

Home dining redefined with tech-powered kitchens

Larger units at Leedon Green come with their very own entertainment sound system that are perfect for hyping up dinner and drinking parties – which you’ll always be ready for thanks to the built-in Vinidor cellar conveniently installed near the kitchen counter.

Smaller units also get to enjoy the built-in oven and glass-covered vent, designed to keep the home feeling fresh and crisp even after heavy cooking.

The cooking vent’s glass cover helps prevent steam and oil from reaching the cupboards.
Always have well-preserved wine on hand with the Vinidor cellar.

Getting to and moving around Leedon Green

Leedon Green is perfectly nestled between several MRT stations. About six buses will take you to Farrer Road MRT within two short stops. If you’re going somewhere along the Downtown Line, three of those six buses (48, 153, and 186) will take you to Botanic Gardens MRT just a little further down the road.

You’ll never really have to wait with five buses leading to Farrer Road MRT.

Speaking of things that are just a few bus stops away, the famous Empress Market is just 10 minutes down the road by foot, or one short bus stop away if you don’t want to walk in.

the hot sun. Personally, the food is worth the short travel, several times a day even. Egg Prata for $1.50? Soy milk for $0.80? The prices don’t get any better than this.

Affordable treats await at Empress Market, just a mere one bus stop away.
When did you last have classic soymilk and beancurd for just $1.80?

Finally, Newton MRT (North South Line), Buona Vista MRT (East West Line), and the soon to be built Cross Island portion of Stevens MRT can bring you to almost anywhere in Singapore in a jiffy.

This picture of Farrer Road was taken at approximately 11am on a weekday. Expect slower traffic during peak hours.

For cars, the compounds are approximately equidistant from AYE (Ayer Rajar Expressway), PIE (Pan Island Expressway), and CTE (Central Expressway). The only minor downside is that the roads appear busy even during off-peak hours, so congestion is to be expected if you’re commuting to and from the office.

There’s a cluster of prestigious schools sandwiched between Farrer Road and Botanic Gardens, consisting of Nanyang Primary School, St. Margaret’s Secondary School, and Hwa Chong Institution. A wider selection of schools can also be found in the wider circumference of the area. Notable ones include National Junior College and both Anglo-Chinese Independent and Anglo-Chinese Junior College.

As far as amenities go, Holland Village Market and Food Centre and Orchard Road will offer more variety and class respectively, depending on how you wish to indulge yourself. There’s also Shangri-La Hotel and Singapore Botanic Gardens right down the street depending on the type of getaway you’re looking for.
