The October 2024 BTO exercise is just around the corner, and it’s time to get excited about the new housing options that will soon be available. Whether you’re a first-time buyer or looking to move into a bigger home for your growing family, this guide will help you understand what to expect and how to prepare.

All locations for the October 2024 BTO exercise

The October 2024 BTO launch promises to be one of the largest and most diverse yet, with approximately 8,500 flats available across multiple estates. These estates include:

  1. Ang Mo Kio
  2. Bedok
  3. Bukit Batok
  4. Geylang
  5. Jurong West
  6. Kallang/Whampoa
  7. Pasir Ris
  8. Sengkang
  9. Woodlands

This upcoming launch offers more new flats, in more locations, than the earlier launches in February and June 2024. While February’s launch included 4,126 flats across six estates and June’s launch offered 5,074 flats (also in six estates), October’s launch will have around 8,500 flats in nine estates.

1. Ang Mo Kio – Family-friendly environment and excellent amenities

Living here, you benefit from easy access to reputable schools like Anderson Secondary School, ensuring quality education for your children. Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park offers ample green space for recreation and relaxation, making it a favorite among residents for its serene atmosphere and outdoor activities.

3. Bukit Batok – Balanced lifestyle with green spaces

Roll-out of Prime, Plus, and Standard flats in Oct 2024 BTO launch

In the October 2024 sales exercise, new BTO projects will be offered as Standard, Plus, or Prime flats based on their specific locational attributes. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Prime Flats: Located in highly desirable areas, these flats come with additional subsidies to keep them affordable despite their higher market values.
  • Plus Flats: These are also in attractive locations and will be priced with extra subsidies to ensure affordability.
  • Standard Flats: These offer the usual benefits and are suitable for a wide range of budgets.

The additional subsidies and conditions for Plus and Prime flats will be calibrated accordingly to ensure affordability while providing a variety of housing options.

New open-concept design effective by Oct 2024 BTO launch

This exercise will see the introduction of a new White Flat layout at a BTO project in Kallang/Whampoa, comprising 310 units of 3-room and 4-room flats. If you prefer an open-concept with greater flexibility in configuring your living spaces, you can opt for a contiguous living and bedroom space without pre-partitioned walls. This option will be priced accordingly, taking into account the non-provision of internal partition walls. Alternatively, you can choose the standard layout with walls if the open-concept is not your preference.

Key steps to prepare before applying for Oct 2024 BTO

  1. Eligibility Check: Make sure you meet the eligibility criteria for purchasing a BTO flat. This includes factors like citizenship, age, and income ceiling.
  2. Financial Planning: Assess your finances and determine your budget. Consider the down payment, monthly mortgage, and other associated costs.
