As Singapore’s first one-stop property solution, we are excited to share with you the country’s first-ever PropTech Innovation Centre!
This 11,000 square-foot facility is officially our new home! It will serve as the main headquarters where we accelerate continuous innovation and productivity, all while the company expands into other markets in the region.
Let’s take a tour of our regional headquarters located in Toa Payoh. This centre also boasts a data and research facility.
Nine Zones in the Proptech Innovation Centre
Each of its nine zones will specialise in key areas and collaborations, much like a home with different rooms. The zones will also include three main spaces – a Moonshot Room, Grass Room and Happiness Room, catered for different purposes.
1. Moonshot Room
Dubbed the ‘technology space’, the Moonshot room is surrounded by floor-to-ceiling whiteboard walls and video conferencing tools, which will aid in the cross-functional collaboration between the company’s offices across Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Manila. Its goal will be to translate concepts into prototypes and further improve and launch exciting new product features.
2. Grass Room
This room features grass on every surface of the space and is sound insulated, which allows for a sense of calmness and serenity. The state of ‘silence’ seeks to provide the team with a facility that is out of the ordinary, to aid greater inspiration for out-of-the-box ideas.
3. Orange Room
The Orange Room is where external meetings are held or interviews of potential candidates are conducted. Yes, our fast-growing team is hiring! Orange is associated with meanings of joy, warmth, heat, sunshine, enthusiasm, creativity, success, encouragement, change, determination, health, stimulation, happiness, fun, enjoyment, balance, sexuality, freedom, expression, and fascination. Undoubtedly, this colour is the new black!
4. Dinner Room
Also known as our server room, Dinner Room comfortably fits six people for internal meetings. The Marketing Team frequently holds their meeting cadence in this room to motivate, recognise their individual winning plays and increase the team’s productivity according to their roadmap.
5. Hot-desking Spots
This zone is for our in-house property agents where they prepare comprehensive home research reports prior to client consultations. No wonder they are amongst Singapore’s Top 10 according to CEA data as of September 2019.
6. Public Seminar Chamber
Our Public Seminar Chamber is where property literacy programmes are conducted. This is also where our tech-powered property agents and the operations team convene every Monday morning. We won’t be trusted by over 8,000 happy customers without this crucial meeting.
7. Happiness Room
Happiness Room has fixtures and furniture you won’t typically find in your average meeting room such as our unique macrame wall hanging, round boho rug and chic blue settee bench! It is primarily used for the exchange of ideas and conversations, in a casual and relaxed setting.I wanted the office to be a comfortable environment that allows our team to rest and relax.
That’s a line from our CPO, which leads us to the next zone!
8. Chilling Pods
Need I say more? It’s a zone to do nothing else, but to take a break from our laptops and chill.
With a committed team that is driven by their passion to serve the Ohmyhome community, it was essential for us to create a space that not only nurtures innovation, but also one that supports the rejuvenation and welfare of each individual.
9. Working Zone
After that tour, back to the main zone!
This is where all the superpowers emerge and amazing teamwork transpires.
In line with the company’s plan to expand its presence in the region, the innovation centre will have a resident team of 50 people which will include emerging technologists, user experience designers, a regional expansion team and our in-house property agents.
