Not only are temporary residents moving back to their home provinces outside the National Capital Region (NCR), but they are also planning to stay there permanently. Even long-time city dwellers are expected to follow their lead.

According to Ohmyhome’s latest sales research, 16.4% of home inquiries are for properties in Metro Manila while 12.7% of them are for towns and cities in Laguna, Bulacan, and Cavite, which are situated just outside NCR.

Current market buying trends also suggest that home seekers are looking for property where they can feel comfortable, secure, and productive.

Little by little, we are beginning to see the reclamation of our provinces and the lingering effects of the pandemic has only accelerated that. Expect to see more families migrating to these provinces very soon.
