Tanjong Rhu Riverfront I & II BTO – Location
This BTO June 2024 launch site comprises two side-by-side plots in the affluent neighbourhood of Tanjong Rhu, sitting right across Dunman High School and Singapore Swimming Club.
There are not many transport nodes nearby as this area is known to be a high-end private residential enclave where most residents are car owners. However, there are some upgrades: Tanjong Rhu MRT and Katong Park MRT on the Thompson-East Coast Line (TEL) will start service on 23 June 2024. Both MRT stations are within walking distance of both launch sites, though some may be nearer to one and further from the other.

The waterfront view of Geylang River is sure to be a star feature of this project. Moreover, Kallang Stadium, National Stadium, Home of Athletics (which houses a public track), and Kallang ActiveSG (with tennis, squash, and netball centres) are just a bridge away from the BTO June 2024 launch site. Concert lovers may be drawn to the Stadium’s proximity. Meanwhile, parents can fill up their kids’ calendars with sports activities in any of the several facilities nearby.
Foodies will love the accessibility to the sprawling Old Airport Road Food Centre that’s a 5-min drive away. Leisure Park and Kallang Wave Mall are also within walking distance of the site.
There aren’t that many amenities nearby, hence the various facilities each site will provide: one will comprise an “Eating House” (most likely a hawker centre), restaurants, shops, a supermarket, a pre-school, and a Residents’ Network Centre. Another pre-school is located at the other site.
Application rates of past BTO projects in Kallang/ Whampoa
4-room flats have seen the highest application rates in past BTO projects in Kallang/ Whampoa. For example, 477-unit Farrer Park Arena and 1,422-unit Farrer Park Fields/ Rajah Summit saw the highest oversubscription rates from Second-Timer Families at 30.7 and 32.6 respectively. 3-room flats were just as popular among the same group of BTO buyers.

The BTO June 2024 launch site in Queenstown is located where Holland Drive intersects with North Buona Vista Road. Without a doubt, the best thing about this project is that it’s only a 9-min walk to lifestyle hub Holland Village. Nearby, a new pet-friendly mall, One Holland Village, is finally operational which houses even more restaurants and eateries.
Moreover, Buona Vista is only a 2-min drive away or an MRT stop away. There, you’ll get access to the humongous Star Vista shopping mall and numerous reputable schools, such as Fairfield Methodist Primary and Secondary Schools, Anglo-Chinese School (Independent), and Henry Park Primary School. With one-north and Kent Ridge MRT stations also a few stops away, there are several tertiary institutions nearby, including Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), and National University of Singapore (NUS).

There were no 2-room flexi flats offered in previous BTO launches in Queenstown. However, the application rates for 4-room flats show us that a majority of flats were reserved for second-timer families.

The BTO June 2024 launch site in Tampines sits across SAFRA Tampines, at the intersection of Tampines Ave 1 and Tampines St 92. Though it’s a little further inwards from central Tampines, it is about a 3-min walk from Tampines West MRT and is one station away from Bedok Reservoir MRT. Speaking of which, the actual Bedok Reservoir is only about a 10-min walk from the BTO June 2024 site; it houses a rare 4.3km gravel track for cyclists and joggers.
