Why choose Choa Chu Kang?

I have to speak up for my home town here. Having grown up in Choa Chu Kang, I’ve personally seen numerous developments in the area over the past 6 years. Most of the HDB blocks have gone through the Home Improvement Programme (HIP), with bigger playgrounds and sports facilities added to the neighbourhood. Choa Chu Kang’s Mega Playground was actually right in front of my house, complete with a soccer field, a basketball court, and a badminton court. There’s also a track field for you to get some miles in before or after work. 

Lot One shopping centre has all of the amenities you’ll need, from retail shops to restaurants, though they’re not Michelin-star-quality. There’s a GymBoxx opposite Lot One, at the Keat Hong Community Centre, and a new Choa Chu Kang SAFRA open with a swimming pool, bowling alley, and futsal courts. 

There are lots of schools nearby, such as Concord Primary School, Choa Chu Kang Primary School, Teck Whye Secondary, School, and Jurong Pioneer JC.

If you’re looking for quick access to the city, the bus 190 will take you to Orchard in under 30 minutes without traffic, and about 45 minutes to Stevens MRT. The Choa Chu Kang interchange also houses a direct access to the Bukit Panjang LRT, where you’ll be able to transfer to the Downtown Line to reach the CBD.

2. Block 312C, Clementi Ave 4, 5-room HDB, 1216.32 sqft, with 92 years remaining lease, sold for $1,250,000.

As you can tell, these HDB resale flats were within the same vicinity and most likely pushed the prices up in the area. While these 2023 HDB resale transactions show great potential for gains when you sell, you should be aware that as Clementi is closer to the central region and therefore classed as a mature estate, the competition here is high, driving up sellers’ asking prices.
