MOM: Temporary Housing Support Will Not Be Extended Beyond March 31
Since the news about the Malaysia lockdown extending from March 31 to April 14, the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) announced that the Government will not extend temporary housing support beyond March 31.
MOM mentioned that employers need to find long-term accommodation for their workers, also providing suggestions on housing options like hotels, public or private rental homes. For work-pass holders planning to enter Singapore from Malaysia, they must first obtain approval before they begin their journeys.

Budget 2020: S&CC Rebates Worth S$134 Million for 940,000 HDB Households
From April 2020 to March 2021, approximately 940,000 Housing and Development Board (HDB) households will receive 1.5 to 3.5 months of Service and Conservancy Charges (S&CC) rebates, depending on the flat type. That amounts to S$134 million worth of S&CC rebates, part of the Government’s Care and Support Package, which is also part of Budget 2020.
The S$1.6 billion Care and Support Package is to help households with their expenses during this period of uncertainty; the slowing economy amidst COVID-19 outbreak. Other measures include: a one-off cash payment for eligible Singaporeans, a one-off Goods and Service Tax Voucher (GSTV) – U-Save Special Payment and help with transport expenses.
