Selling Property Malaysia

Home buyers have often been skeptical about digitalisation of property transactions for the longest time. Afterall, what could be more accurate than in-person home visits, that allow you to ascertain the quality of renovations, fittings, and check for defects? The recent Movement Control Order (MCO), has ironically given digital transactions a much needed push into mainstream practise. Property developers, home buyers and home sellers alike have been obliged to abide by safe distancing measures. In April 2020 alone, bookings made through digital viewings accounted for RM37 million worth in transactions. Indeed, technology has advanced to a point where buyers and sellers trust what they see on virtual reality (VR) tours, which provide immersive and realistic tour experiences. This could spell the start of a new trend when you sell your property in Malaysia. Home viewing can now be done virtually. Home buyers can access short listed homes through pre-recorded VR sessions before narrowing down the list for home visits. Therefore, it is now more crucial than ever to be familiar with the home staging and filming aspects of VR tours when you sell your property in Malaysia. This will be a crucial skill in the years to come for home sellers and property agents to remain relevant in the property market.
